Is the look and feel of your iPod feeling dated? Do you want cover flow on your older iPod? Well I felt the same way, and wanted my iPod to feel unique! So with some simple steps and software, you can install custom iPod themes!
TLDR; Just to give you a short synopsis so you know if you can handle it or not! All that’s necessary to install custom ipod themes, is to install iPod Wizard on your Windows computer, download the appropriate theme, then use the iPod Wizard software to it’s incredibly straight forward!

- Open iPodWizard
- In the top left corner, click ‘iPod’ in the drop-box.
- Right beside that, click ‘Load Firmware’ and wait for the firmware to load
- Go to the ‘Pictures’ tab under firmware editor.
- To the right side of iPodWizard, click ‘Load all’. This should bring up a browse window.
- Go to the place where you unzipped the folder with the theme pics. Click on the folder and click open.
- After all the pics have been loaded, click Write – be patient while progress bar increases.
- Once loaded you will prompted to eject your iPod
Now your custom iPod themes should be installed using iPod wizard and you can enjoy your music in style! In case you do ever want to revert your iPod back to its original factory settings, all you have to do is restore using iTunes!
