Say Hello To The New Kindle Lineup!

Amazon today has made a legendary announcement! They changed up all previous kindle models significantly, and launched the long-awaited tablet that has the potential of killing the iPad.

Well after this presentation, one thing is for sure, Apple should be worried. Below I’ve included some bullet points of everything important announced during this presentation.

Kindle

Physical appearance aside, there isn’t a whole lot different in comparison to the previous Kindle, here is everything that has changed from the previous model:

  • New price point: $79
  • No 3G model
  • Faster Page Loads
  • 18% Smaller
  • Available Now

If you owned the previous Kindle, probably not really worth the upgrade, if you don’t own an E-Reader, then this (thanks to the $79 price point) is a great option!

Kindle Touch

The Kindle Touch, is Amazon’s one step up, for people who want a E-Ink display, and don’t want to deal with annoying buttons. Essentially it’s the happy medium between the Kindle and the Kindle Fire.

  • WiFi and 3G Models
  • WiFi Model: $99 – 3G Model: $149

Yeah aside from the price and the touchscreen, both the Kindle and the Kindle Touch are pretty much the same thing… But if you hate the controls on the Kindle (like myself) this is for you!

Kindle Fire

Now this is a small fraction of the Kindle Fire, I’ll have a post very soon with everything you need to know about the Kindle Fire.

  • Price: $199
  • Operating System: Android (redesigned ground up, you can barely tell it’s Android)
  • 7-Inch IPS Display, 16 million colors, 169 pixels per inch, gorilla glass
  • Dual-Core Processor
  • Has all content offered by Amazon
  • Free Amazon Cloud Storage
  • No Cable Syncing
  • Amazon Silk Browser
  • Ships November 15th
